Last year I was given a box of homemade oatmeal raisin cookies as a gift. These cookies were the softest, sweetest and most flavorful than any kind I had every had. When I was told that they were healthier and reduced fat I was completely shocked. She shared the recipe with me and I’ve been using it to make these delicious cookies for gifts, luncheons and my go-to dessert treat ever since. I can’t wait to share this recipe today.

Texas Craft House

I was desperately looking for a place to store all of my jewelry. While shopping at IKEA I saw this awesome mirror, the Stave, that was being sold with hinges. I quickly realized how brilliant it would be to use this mirror to store jewelry! For another great closet organization idea heck out my Closet Space Saver post or Rachel’s Simple Scarf or Belt Hanger!

Texas Craft House

This past week my Aunt asked me if I wanted two boxes of wooden craft blocks… of course I said YES! After searching Pinterest for some ideas I found a fellow craft blog with a great idea of using only ten blocks to create over SIXTY seasonal sayings… so this craft can stay out and on display all year long. Now that’s my kind of decorating.

Inexpensive Dog Potty Training Bell

My Scottish Terriers, Murphy and Tiffany, are both 1 year old, with Murphy being just a few months older than Tiffany. I loved the idea of training them to use a bell instead of scratching the door to let us know when they needed to go outside and potty, but I did not love the price tag of the potty training bells available in pet stores. I thought $20 was really expensive for bells on a colorful ribbon, so I started brainstorming. I wanted something that would match my decor and not stick out against the wall. Here’s what I came up with for less than $5!

Today I’m finally sharing the marquee ’28’ signs that I made for my Golden Birthday Party! I used the marquee to complete my photo booth area. To my surprise this project was actually very easy and just a little time consuming. I got the idea from Chloe Moore Photography and the pictures from Oh Happy Day helped me the most! I really love how the entire area came together especially with the fun photo booth props!

My fridge is always stocked with fruits and vegetables… spinach is on my grocery list every week. I usually go through at least 2 – 10oz bags a week, just me! I use it for salads, smoothies, sandwiches, and now these yummy little chips I just discovered! Let me tell you, these things are so addictive.

Tonight is Opening Night at Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington!! Today I’m sharing my game day ribbon flip flops that I made to wear to Rangers games. They were fun to make, but a little more tedious than the Everyday Flip Flops that I posted earlier this week.

I can’t wait to share with you my favorite craft to date… turning an old antique oil lamp into a stylish tiki torch. I find oil lamps at antique and thrift stores ALL the time. I have always thought they were neat but never knew what to do with them… until now.

I made this tulip wreath a couple of years ago after seeing the idea on etsy. I went to Michaels where the floral department was on sale for 50% and I had a coupon to make this Spring Tulip Wreath for only $14!

This weekend I was walking around the ribbon section at Hobby Lobby and found METAL RIBBON. That’s right, you heard me right. METAL RIBBON. This stuff is beautiful! My mouth fell open and I think I even gasped when I realized what it was. They had several varieties (designs and widths) to choose from and the ones I picked up were $4.99 and 50% off. I knew right away that I wanted to turn the ribbon into metal orbs.
